International Women’s Day (IWD) is an annual celebration on March 8 that raises women’s voices around the world.
Beginning in 1911, IWD was set to focus on gender equality. According to the organizational website, this is a day for recognizing women’s achievements, raising awareness around discrimination, and to “take action to forge gender parity.”
Today, we’d like to highlight the women here at The Record and the one-of-a-kind stories they each have to tell.
