We at The Record want to showcase the hard work that goes into this publication every day. To start off our new column, we want to highlight a staff member who has been putting in the hours to share our writers’ work across social media in a fun and compelling way!
Ally Alverson is a seasoned publicist for numerous cheerleading and wrestling groups and showed up at The Record last semester to help amplify our social media presence. A senior in Communications, with a minor in Public Administration/Non-Profit Management, Ally is a great communicator who takes the time to read through all of our articles and podcasts to design and summarize them into eye-catching posts. She takes a focus on celebrating our writers’ and hosts’ voices to share their stories with a wider audience.
In our meetings, Ally is always kind, attentive and helpful, which makes her an invaluable part of our team!
She is also the Cheerleading Commissioner for NWAA, Half-Year Coach for Elite Heat All-Stars, the Cheerleading Coordinator for Niagara Erie Youth Sports Association (NEYSA), an Assistant Coach for the SUNY Niagara Wrestling Team, and the Club President for Jr Thunderwolves Wrestling Club.
Kudos to Ally for all her hard work in helping The Record start strong this semester!
