After an alarming lockdown late Friday morning at the SUNY Erie city campus, a massive search response found no weapons or gunman on campus. The lockdown was initiated after the campus switchboard received an anonymous call saying there was a gunman on the 5th floor of the Post Office building.
Campus police said the call made them suspicious due to the caller remaining anonymous and didn’t answer when the police tried to call them again. They also said that they would try to prosecute if the call is proven as false.
This is still a developing story, and the event remains under investigation.
