The Buffalo Bills travel down to Miami to take on the Dolphins Thursday night in a pivotal game early in the season.
Both teams are coming off come-from-behind wins in their season opener. The Bills rallied from a 17-3 deficit to defeat the Arizona Cardinals 34-28 in a game that saw Josh Allen show out with four touchdowns (two passing, two rushing) in the win.
On the other side, Miami rallied from down 17-7, thanks to a Jevon Holland forced fumble when the Jags were inside the five yard line, and a walk-off 52-yard field goal by kicker Jason Sanders to defeat the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-17 in South Beach.
There are injury concerns for both teams as they enter the short week, as Buffalo already ruled nickel cornerback Taron Johnson, and defensive linemen Dwanye Smoot out for the game. Josh Allen is also battling a left-hand injury that he will play through, but it may still affect the way he can hold the ball.
On the Dolphins side both starting running backs Devon Achane and Raheem Mostert along with wide receiver Malik Washington did not practice on Monday.
The Dolphins open the game as 1.5-point favorites as they look to have an early statement win against a team that has had their number as of late.
As for Buffalo, they look to continue their dominant play against the division rival and take an early lead in the AFC East in search of their 5th straight division title in a battle that is sure to come down to the wire in 2024.
