Though the summer weather has been holding out through the beginning of October, a stroll over the fallen leaves and hay bales on the front lawn of the Richardson Olmsted Campus captures the fall feeling.
The Richardson is home to Buffalo Holiday Market’s “Falliday” Market every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through October. Opening weekend was this past Friday, Oct. 3.
The market hosts a line-up of artisan crafts, food and drink vendors as well as bounce houses, trolley rides and live music. A variety of bar carts, food trucks, jewelry booths, and Buffalo Bills themed crafters line up a cyclical path interspersed with large gold skeleton decorations and bales of hay and mums.
Every Friday at 7 p.m., movie nights are hosted on the lawn in the center of a ring of wooden chalet booths. Upcoming movies include “The Addams Family” on Oct. 10, “Hocus Pocus” on Oct. 17, and “The Nightmare Before Christmas” on Oct. 24.
“When it’s Gilmore Girls season and you find the perfect little market in your backyard,” boasts their Instagram page, comparing the cozy fall vibes of the market to that of the hit TV show. With a cute, walkable route throughout the vendors and around the scenic Richardson hotel, this market makes for a great fall walk, hangout, or date!
