Every semester, Buffalo State’s English Department launches Portrait Magazine, a literature and art magazine that publishes student poetry, prose, and artwork with the goal of immortalizing the creativity of the artists on campus; it gives blossoming creatives the chance to have their work formally published and admired by others. It is both a great progressive and creative community, and it looks great on a resume!

The formal launch party will take place on April 28, during Bengal Pause in Ketchum, 302. Come for pizza and snacks, as well as physical copies of the magazine!

In addition to the magazine itself, Portrait holds regular workshops regarding publishing, genre, peer review, as well as creative workspaces for like minds to come together.
