New details have emerged that tie to the 20-year-old Buffalo State University student who was shot at an off-campus party in the early hours of Saturday, Oct. 4.
Buffalo-based party entertainment service, RAGE Entertainment, partnered with fellow entertainment company, Triple O Entertainment, to host what was promoted as “The Biggest Homecoming on Earth.” The two-day off-campus event was planned for 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. on both Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4.
The party took place at 30 East Amherst St., Buffalo, where the event center, Level One Complex, is located. The center lacks an online presence with no website or social media activity. This is the same corner where the Buffalo Police Department was called Saturday morning in response to shots being fired.

Using vulgar remarks, a Triple O promoter stated on Instagram Monday that a shooting did “ruin” the event that took place late Friday into Saturday.
But it was allegedly more than just gunshots at the event. Social media buzz has prompted users to come out, revealing alleged horror stories from the party.
“There were multiple incidents that threatened the safety of our community,” said RAGE and Triple O in a public Instagram apology on Oct. 5. “We are profoundly sorry to anyone who was hurt, affected, or caught in the chaos.”
RAGE and Triple O expected over 2,500 people over the two days, and sold more than 1,600 tickets according to promotional posts. The building is 20,238 square feet, raising concerns from the party-goers about exceeding capacity at the event.
The organization makes it clear at the end of the apology that they are committed to making changes to ensure safety at future events, but attendees have taken to Instagram to express disappointment with how things were handled.
“We acknowledge that certain actions could and should have been handled differently,” RAGE and Triple O said.
