A Buffalo State University student was shot Saturday, Oct. 4, at around 2 a.m., near E. Amherst and Main Street.
The victim, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the arm, suffering non-fatal injuries. According to officials quoted in multiple local news sources, the student was transferred to Erie County Medical Center by ambulance and remains in stable condition.
“According to initial reports, the victim and his friend were confronted at a party by unknown individuals. The interaction escalated outside, leading to shots being fired,” according to a statement from the police.
The incident remains under investigation, and The Record has reached out to the Buffalo Police Department for any new information, but has not received a response.
