Do you need something to do this weekend? Well, then, you’re in luck! Make a couple of hours to go and see a great comedy on stage at the Ghostlight Theater. Here We Sit, an L. Don Swartz original is an excellent take on a comedy show. The show is a sketch-based comedy with fast-paced humor as well as some mixed-in drama.

The set is influenced by some of the theater’s previous shows. Most recently, the theater performed “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” in the early spring. As well as “Frankenstein” for their classic winter show. The director puts their spin on each show to modernize it and put their touch on it.

Rather than the traditional play, it is turned on its head, and you are watching an “audience” and their experiences, ranging from an actress meltdown to unreasonably strict ushers.

The drama is just as good as the comedy and will keep you engaged and on the edge of your seat. The actors will pull you in and hold you for the entire show. The ensemble’s chemistry is on display during the whole performance.

While there are many stand-out performances throughout the show, what truly makes it work is the excellent work of the ensemble together. Every scene comprises a team working together to achieve the same goal.

The show is an excellent watch from top to bottom and worth seeing. If you have the time to go, why not support your local theater?
