Three SUNY Buffalo State football players have been charged with criminal mischief stemming from vandalism that happened to a house on Rees Street last weekend.

Police charged Ryan Bauer, 20; Stephen Smaldone, 20; and Jordan Rychcik, 18.

At least four windows at a home on Rees Street were damanged by a golf club Sunday morning, according to Buffalo police.

Bauer and Smaldone were starting offensive linemen for the Bengals as juniors. Rychcik played junior varsity as a freshman.

“I am extremely disappointed,” Athletic Director and head football coach Jerry Boyes said in a statement. “The actions described in the Buffalo Police report do not reflect the values of our football program or the college. The student-athletes charged in this incident will be suspended from the team while the investigation continues. If found guilty, the student-athletes would be subject to additional discipline per team rules or removal from the program.”
