Sheldon Keck, pictured above, laid the groundwork for the creation of what has become a nationally renowned art conservation department at Buffalo State. During World War II, Keck was among 350 Monuments Men charged with finding preserving priceless artifacts that were left in the wars destructive path. The stories of the men like Keck have been adapted into a major motion picture directed by George Clooney.
