Hatch scores lone goal as Bengals take down Allegheny

Staff Reports

The Buffalo State women’s soccer team defeated Allegheny 1-0 at Coyer Field in a non-conference decision on Tuesday.

The lone goal was scored by junior forward Tianna Hatch in the 47th minute, her second of the season. The assist went to senior forward Catherine Mammoser.

Despite the score, the stats depicted a lopsided contest. In the shot category, Buffalo State mauled the Gators, getting off 26 compared to five. They landed 10 on net to the Gators’ one.

Freshman goaltender Taylor Carillo added another 90 shutout minutes. She has now played 529 minutes and 55 seconds, nearly six entire games, without allowing a goal.

Buffalo State will take it’s five-game win streak back to SUNYAC play in a tilt Friday against Oswego starting 3 p.m. at Coyer Field.
