Buffalo State Men’s Hockey forward Joe Glamos can cement himself in the Bengal record book during his senior campaign.
Glamos, from Baldwinsville, NY, played 21 games his freshman season, notching three goals and three assists during his first year.
Then, in the following season, the breakout would begin for Glamos and the Bengals, as during his sophomore season, he would play 27 games, notching 12 goals and 20 assists for 32 points, putting him second on the team in points.
He would land the then assistant captain of the All-SUNYAC Third Team because of his elite play. He would also add two SUNYAC Player of the Week honors to his resume during that season as well for good measure.
Picking up right where he left off, Glamos, in his third season, played 25 games, finishing with a career-high in goals at 13 and an overall point total of 24, cementing All-SUNYAC Third Team honors once again for himself.
As he was heading into year four, there were a lot of expectations for the team themselves after not making the playoffs the year prior.
Glamos, being the team’s sole leader, had a lot riding on his shoulders heading into year four. Throughout his first nine games this season, Glamos is off to another good start with eight points, and the team currently is sitting with a 6-3 record while being 5-1 in conference play, putting them first in the SUNYAC conference.
With 70 total points in his career, Glamos needs three more points to put himself inside the top 15 for most all-time points in Buffalo State Men’s Hockey History.
Further, Glamos would need 15 points to put himself inside the top 10 for the Bengals all-time point leaders.
As the season continues, Glamos looks to cement himself in the Bengals record books.
