The Social Work department is collecting board games throughout the month of March for families in need at Gerard Place. Gerard Place is a local supportive housing program and its mission is to help families recover.
Oscar Fuentes, Gerard Place social work student intern, says that board games are a way to bring families closer together.
“We want to be able to give that to them,” said Fuentes. “Give them something to enjoy and spend time with one another.”
Gerard Place offers services such as the Healthy Mom & Baby Program, community case management, bus passes, food pantry and hot meals, and clothing to those in need. It also offers education programs, and services for seniors.
Donations can be dropped off outside Caudell Hall 354 before April 1.
