The Miss Buffalo Scholarship organization hosted their 100th year Beauty Pageant Competition on Sat. Nov. 12 at Bennett High School.

Seventeen ladies gathered together to compete for the titles of Miss Buffalo, Miss Niagara and Miss Flower City.

The organization serves as an ambassador to the National Miss America organization and encourages young women to be great role models by developing their leadership skills through actively participating in serving their communities for the betterment of their generation.

Before the competition began, the former title holders shared their favorite moments while having their crowns. They gave the seventeen potential candidates words of encouragement for their upcoming reign.

The ladies were all smiles as they competed in the various portions of the competition: social impact initiative, lifestyle and fitness, talent and red carpet.

After an exciting night Chelsea Lovell, Zhanna Reed and Serena Exanus won the titles of Miss Buffalo, Miss Niagara and Miss Flower City.

For the social impact initiative portion of the competition the ladies gave inspiring speeches for causes they cared most about:

Chelsea Lovell, Miss Buffalo 2023: to combat spousal and domestic violence.
Zhanna Reed, Miss Niagara 2023: to inspire and guide young girls to seek out holistic wellness
Serena Exanus, Miss Flower City 2023: to cultivate mental health advocacy and aid suicide prevention.

Congratulations to the ladies of the Miss Buffalo organization, and best of luck with all of your future endeavors!
