As part of the United Students Government (USG) elections this year, undergraduate SUNY Buffalo State students will vote on the biennial referendum of whether or not the student activity fee should remain mandatory for all students.

The student activity fee, which is a $100 charge on tuition bills for full-time students, funds various campus events, including Springfest, put on by USG and many of the student-run clubs at Buffalo State.

If students vote to make the activity fee ‘voluntary’, that would mean students would individually choose whether or not to pay the charge, putting USG’s $1.4 Million budget at risk.

Voting continues on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Campell Student Union.
