Minor construction in Classroom Building is wrapping up
Construction has been proceeding on a part of the SUNY Buffalo State Classroom Building near the B-Wing entrance closest to the Technology Building. The construction is a small project to replace the electrical switchgear inside of the electrical room of the Classroom Building.
This construction began a little over a week ago when a small area was fenced off in between the B-Wing and A-Wing entrances. There was not much construction to begin with.
When construction began, workers were tearing away at the wall blocking the electrical room of the building. Students could see the drilling and cutting of bricks to access the electrical switchgear and the dust accompanied with it. They could also hear the drilling into the wall and the common conversation amongst the workers.“The work will not affect anything else in the building and there should be no concerns”, says Michael F. LeVine, Vice President for Finance and Management.
“The work will not affect anything else in the building and there should be no concerns,” says Michael F. LeVine, Vice President for Finance and Management.
This construction will not affect any students or any classes in the building. It is expected to be rather quick and painless and is not to intrude on anyone on campus.
“Once they finish this building, there will be other buildings on campus that similar work will be done,” says LeVine.
The construction is merely to fix an electrical switchgear. Each future construction should take no more than a week or two.
